Investing Time To Make Time

About Me

Investing Time To Make Time

When I was working full time at the convenience store down the street, I made so little that I was at work constantly. It seemed like I spent every waking minute at my job, and it was really hard to cope with the fact that I was missing so much going on at home. I started thinking more carefully about what I could do to free up time in my schedule, and I came to the conclusion that I needed to continue my education. I started thinking more seriously about going back to school, and it really felt like the right thing to do. This blog is all about investing time for school so that you have more time in the future.

Majors That Online Bible Colleges Offer

Online Bible colleges offer students the opportunity to pursue a variety of majors in a faith-based environment. These majors are designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to serve in a variety of ministry and leadership roles.

Here are a few majors that students can pursue at online biblical colleges.

Biblical Studies

One of the most popular majors at online Bible colleges is Biblical Studies.

The Biblical Studies major gives students a deep understanding of the Bible, including its historical and cultural context. Students will study the Old and New Testaments, as well as various biblical themes and doctrines.

The major also involves courses in theology, hermeneutics, and exegesis. Graduates of this major will be well-prepared for ministry roles such as pastors, teachers, and missionaries.

Biblical studies is a major that's available as a one-year certificate, associate degree, or bachelor's degree, which are some of the main degrees that Bible colleges offer.

Theology

A somewhat similar yet distinct major is Theology.

The Theology major has a heavier emphasis on understanding Christian theology, including its history, doctrines, and beliefs. Students will study various theological traditions and movements, as well as the writings of key theologians.

The major also involves courses in biblical studies, philosophy, and ethics, but the biblical studies courses are fewer than in the actual Biblical studies major.

Graduates of this major will be well-prepared for ministry roles such as pastors, theologians, and scholars. They can also go to seminary if they earn a bachelor's in Theology.

Christian Education

A large number of online bible colleges offer a major in Christian Education. The major equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach and lead in Christian educational settings, such as private Christian schools and extracurricular faith-based programs.

Students will study curriculum development, teaching methods, and educational psychology. They will also study the biblical foundations of education and the history of Christian education. Graduates of this major will be well-prepared for roles such as Christian school teachers, youth pastors, and Christian education directors.

Students who wish to become teachers or administrators in Christian education should pursue this major at the bachelor's level.

Ministry Leadership

The Ministry Leadership major is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead and manage ministry organizations and programs. Students will study leadership theory, organizational behavior, and management principles. They will also study the biblical foundations of leadership and the history of Christian leadership.

Graduates of this major will be well-prepared for roles such as church administrators, non-profit leaders, and mission executives.
